Hi, of course it depends on your level of interest and how you like to see museums. I would say half an hour to an hour, unless you are going to read everything in the displays, or watch the whole documentary video like we did (which is almost 2 hours long!) We did not expect to sit and watch the whole thing (in the lobby) but found it so fascinating that we did so. You might be able to watch it before your trip to give you the context. It's called "Muscle Shoals: The Incredible True Story of a Small Town with A Big Sound" (2013). There is also an option to make your own recording in the sound studio (for a fee) which would take more time (and more talent than we have). And a nice gift shop which would take extra time for folks who like to shop. Enjoy your trip!
