Indian stalwart Virat Kohli has avoided suspension after a fiery run-in with Australian debutant Sam Konstas during an exciting opening day of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG.

Virat Kohli is never afraid to back down from a challenge; on Thursday (26th December), he added another episode. The opening day of the fourth Test between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) was marked by a contentious altercation involving Indian batting icon and Australian debutant Sam Konstas.

Virat Kohli and Australian youngster Sam Konstas were on Thursday involved in a physical altercation because of which the Indian superstar was fined 20 per cent of his match fee and handed a demerit point even though it was played down as an accidental bump by the 19-year-old debutant.
