Father Christopher Lee, a parish priest at St. Joseph Church in the Singapore region of Bukit Timah, was attacked by a knife-wielding man on Saturday.

Cardinal William Goh of Singapore has written to a shaken Catholic community following the stabbing of a priest while distributing communion, asking them to trust in God’s guidance to transform adversity into resilience and continue fearlessly proclaiming the Gospel.

A Singapore man, who stabbed a Catholic priest during a weekend Mass, has been charged with “voluntarily causing grievous hurt using a weapon likely to cause death”. Also, the Ministry of Manpower has issued an advisory for the public on handling a similar situation.
