In anticipation of a family-friendly box office smash, Mattel and others have produced a lot of merchandise for the film. The porn-linking toys were singing Glinda and Elphaba dolls. Retailers such as Target and Walmart have already delisted the toy from their online databases, but pictures of them still exist on eBay.

"We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this. Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children," the company said in a statement.

The dolls were removed from Amazon and Target after a labeling error linked consumers to a pornographic website.

Mattel is "taking immediate action" after social media users noticed a glaring mistake on the packaging for the company's new line of “Wicked” dolls.

Toymaker Mattel intended to refer consumers to the “Wicked” movie’s landing page. The “misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children,” it said.

"Wicked" dolls manufactured by Mattel misprinted the promotional movie website wickedmovie.com. The misprint, which left the word movie out of the URL, directed consumers to an adult-rated website. According to The Washington Post,
