A couple weeks ago, Morgan Wallen knocked Shaboozey’s long-running No. 1 hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” off the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That didn’t last long, though, as “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” made its way back to No. 1 and hit 16 total weeks, which tied it for the second-most ever.

Recording Academy unveiled their nominations for the 2025 Grammys - and Shaboozey, one of 2024's biggest breakout stars, snagged five nods to add to his record-breaking year. Shaboozey's five nominations are across several genre fields,

Nominations came out Friday morning and the Virginia artist is up for at least four awards — which is only seven behind Beyoncé. They include: Best New Artist, where he'll be up against Chappell Roan (who played in Richmond in May) and Sabrina Carpenter.

The song earned him a Grammy nod for best country song. In addition to that, the Recording Academy nominated Shaboozey for best solo performance, song of the year, and best new artist.
