A part of Alvord in Wise County is still under a boil water notice, after the city issued the alert Sunday afternoon. All of Alvord ISD is also under the notice, Superintendent Randy Brown said in a Facebook post Sunday evening. Students are advised to bring bottled water to school with them, but schools will have bottles available if needed.

People in the Wise County city of Alvord are being asked to boil their water before using or drinking. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality issued the boil water notice to make sure all harmful bacteria is destroyed.

A map posted by the city showed the notice impacted the majority of the city. Previous notices impacted smaller areas.
